The three-day event hopes to put the spotlight on key issues including availability, accessibility, acceptability and quality of anesthesia care for the most vulnerable and under-served population.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scope of the conference activities will be under the twin banners of Universal Health Coverage and Nursing Now 2020 campaign where we hope to highlight the role nurse anesthetists have played in promoting access to quality and safe anesthesia to pregnant women as well as their neonates. This will be in the larger picture of promoting access to safe surgery not only for the pregnant mothers but also for the under-served populations in rural Africa with the ultimate goal of achieving UHC for all.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During this event, we will seek to reaffirm our commitment to strengthening the practice of safe anesthesia on the continent as well as our role in progress towards SDG 3.
