Who We Are

The Association of Registered Nurse Anaesthetist-Kenya (ARNA-K) is a professional association representing all Kenya Registered Nurse Anaesthetists (KRNA) in Kenya. We are duly registered under CAP 108 of the laws of Kenya. We represent more than 300 nurse anesthetists working in  all 47 counties. Our primary goal is to promote access and  delivery of safe anesthesia for every surgical patient.

Mission

Improve access to safe and affordable anesthesia by bringing services closer to those who need it the most. We seek to address some of the challenges brought on by the acute shortage of anesthetists and support safe surgical, anesthesia and perioperative services in Kenya.

Membership

ARNA-K membership is open to all licensed KRNAs practicing in Kenya. We are also open to associate membership from KRNA students and other foreign nurse anesthetists legally working in the country. Licensing of nurse anesthetists is done by the Nursing Council of Kenya
